I believe that to have success in a job search or career change, we need to have solid skills on the practical side (i.e., resumes, cover letters, interviewing, networking, job search strategies, etc.) but more importantly, we need to understand the role our thoughts and beliefs play in our lives, either sabotaging or supporting us in accomplishing what we desire. To experience success, we need to develop an awareness of our internal landscape and make changes if necessary to support our emotional well-being, as this impacts everything else.
I believe that there is a power within each of us; a divine intelligence that we can tune into for clarity and guidance. Our heart always knows what is right for us but we need to stop and get quiet enough to listen to what it’s trying to tell us. If we learn to tap into this wisdom, we will know which path is the right one for us and how best to express our gifts and talents in the world.
There are unconscious beliefs that are contained within us from earlier programming that prevent us from accomplishing what we desire. Until we can uncover and release them, we will continue to come up against obstacles that will prevent us from living our lives to the fullest.
Purpose & Passion
Purpose is doing what you love to do that makes the world a better place. There are many career paths that interest us but there are only a few that make our soul sing and allow us to live our purpose in a way that ignites our passions. Deep within us there is a calling; a gentle nudge from our soul directing us to that which brings us the most joy and happiness.
I use various career tools, including career assessments and practical exercises in combination with spiritual principles to help clients achieve the success they desire. I bring in a contemplative approach to my career counseling, incorporating mindfulness techniques, including guided imagery, visualization, and meditation, as well as, affirmations and other tools to help individuals move through stuck patterns, gain answers and insight, and to bring inspiration to their career journey.
Are you ready to approach your career change in a new way that incorporates both practicality and spirituality?
